CSEC School Response & Prevention Education

A training to understand how to respond appropriately to exploitation within a school setting. This training will also help educators implement prevention education in the classroom and meet requirements of the California Healthy Youth Act, Human Trafficking Prevention Education & Training Act, and Health Education Content Standards.

Early Identification of Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) Training Program for K-12 Schools
  • Free training on CSEC indicators and identification, culturally competent and trauma-informed care, protocols for reporting and intervention, and ways to partner with community-based organizations and resources.
  • Strategies to integrate CSEC prevention education into existing learning concepts, including a curriculum guide for CSEC prevention education in all grade levels K-12.
  • Content is aligned with Social Emotional Learning, Health Education Content Standards, California Healthy Youth Act (AB 329), and Human Trafficking Prevention Education and Training Act (AB 1227).

Prevention Education

K-12 curriculum guidance helps schools meet California Healthy Youth Act and Human Trafficking Prevention Education & Training Act requirements, health education content standards, and Social Emotional Learning concepts.

Toolkits & Resources

Quickly reference important content and information provided in the course modules and learn to easily recognize warning signs of abuse and exploitation, provide trauma-informed response, make appropriate referrals.

About Us

WEAVE Learn is a program of WEAVE that provides training and education in hope of preventing and ending sexual violence.

CA Statewide Work

WEAVE served as primary writers and content experts for the 2019 revision of the California Health Education Framework, and developed the Early Identification of Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) Training Program funded by CalOES.

Education & Training

WEAVE provides curriculum guidance, instructional strategies, and learning activities for K-12 prevention education. Training and prevention work spans all ages from early childhood to older adults.

Direct Service

WEAVE's mission is to promote safe and healthy relationships and support survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence and sex trafficking. WEAVE was founded in 1978 and is the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors in Sacramento County.
